Super Sitter Workshop! (Gr. 5 and up)
Be a Super Sitter! Review the basics and take your babysitting skills to the next level. In this hands-on workshop, students will learn about childcare plus, guest speakers will share specific safety and first aid information. Learn fun and simple strategies to keep children entertained and engaged in activities when babysitting. This Super Sitter Workshop is for beginners, those who have never taken a babysitting course and for more experienced sitters to brush up on skills and get new ideas. This class is especially designed to help students learn to supervise toddlers and up. Instructor is licensed teacher Tessa Lang. Please bring a healthy snack and water bottle.
Tessa Lang moved from Duluth to Alexandria area in 2015 to be closer to family. Her background in theater along with a Masters of Education from the College of St. Scholastica helped her gain a teaching career at Discovery Middle School, teaching drama. Tessa is also the Director of both the spring and fall plays for the middle school students. She started a playwright’s club where the students have the opportunity to write scripts for the stage. Tessa couldn’t be happier with the decision to move to this community!
