When I'm in Charge (Gr. 3-7)
Attention parents! Is your son or daughter starting to stay home alone? Are you looking for a place for them to get some safety tips? This is an ideal class for students to learn responsibility, basic first aid and how to respond in certain emergency situations. Discussion items which include phones, weather, intruders, internet activity, sibling relationships and much more! Licensed teacher, Tessa Lang, will be leading the instruction. Please bring a lunch, a healthy snack and a water bottle.
Tessa Lang moved from Duluth to Alexandria area in 2015 to be closer to family. Her background in theater along with a Masters of Education from the College of St. Scholastica helped her gain a teaching career at Discovery Middle School, teaching drama. Tessa is also the Director of both the spring and fall plays for the middle school students. She started a playwright’s club where the students have the opportunity to write scripts for the stage. Tessa couldn’t be happier with the decision to move to this community!
