  • Focaccia, Stromboli, & Calzones Cook-along - Online

    Learn how to make your own homemade Focaccia Bread, a wonderful rolled pizza called a Stromboli, and stuffed Pizzas, known as Calzones with homemade pizza dough! Experience the rave reviews from previous participants of the instructor’s pizza classes yourself as you learn how to make your own pizzas with her step-by-step instruction. Take out Pizza may just become a thing of the past! On the Menu: Stromboli (rolled / filled pizza), Calzones (stuffed pizza), wonderful Focaccia Bread, and an OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD Pizza Sauce. Two different homemade doughs will be used. One will be for the pizza options, the other for the focaccia. The instructor will provide step-by-step guidance and instruction help to ensure the process is as simple as can be. Participants can personalize their pizzas and focaccia bread with toppings and fillings of their choosing. Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class to allow time for shopping. Have your questions answered by the instructor and interact with other participants as you cook-along. While cooking along is loads of fun, it is optional. Week 1: Full swing fundamentals and short game intro. Video analysis will be available to see your swing! Week 2: Full swing review/practice and focus on the short game.     If you’ve noticed hip/thigh/butt spread, you are not alone. We have become a nation of professional sitters, causing lower body muscles to weaken and sag. In this workshop, you will learn my famous ‘10 Minute Miracle Exercise’ series to strengthen lower body muscles quickly and, in the process, increase metabolism and bone density; decrease 2 inches off saddlebag area in 2 weeks; trim inches off lower body by getting rid of excess water weight; breathing technique to stimulate fat metabolism; acupressure points for lymph circulation and drainage.   • Long Prairie River SUP Tour

    Experience paddleboarding unlike any other in Douglas County. This guided group activity is the most scenic adventure offering at Hang Loose. Winding down the Long Prairie River with your fellow paddleboarders and coach Mike Jost will be unforgettable. You'll start out from Lake Carlos Marina, paddle down to the head waters and then down the river to the takeout spot spanning nearly three miles of untouched terrain within Lake Carlos State Park. This experience is recommended for intermediate to advanced paddleboarders and takes about 2.5 hours. Transportation is provided back to the marina after taking out. Now boarding... Hang Loose MN!

    Have you ever caught sight of your reflection in a window or mirror to see that your head leads the way? Or noticed that your shoulders and upper back are too rounded forward? You’ll learn simple techniques to improve posture and stand straighter. We’ll do exercises to help flatten the upper back, un-round shoulders and flatten your midsection. We’ll talk about how to reduce the risk of osteoporosis and related injuries and how to re-gain bone mass. We’ll discuss the latest research findings on nutrition and talk about the importance of minerals and trace minerals for bone health; foods that help and/or harm your bones and more.   • Power Adult Pickleball League (Level 3.5 & up)

    This pickleball Power league is for players that are 3.5 and up skill levels only. Players will be assigned a court each night with 3 other players. Players on the assigned court will play 2 games to 11 points with each player on their court. Individual points will be kept and the player with the most points at the end of 5 weeks will be declared the Champion!

    Senior Housing Tour

    Is a change of housing in the future for you or a loved one? Learn about some of the choices in the Alexandria area (senior apartments, adult foster care facilities, and 55+ housing communities.) After a short informational session, board a school bus and visit 2-3 senior housing sites. The bus will have wheelchair accessibility. Sites will be finalized about two weeks before the tour date. Depending on the site, the tour may include walking longer distances.
