    Have you been in or near an emergency situation where someone was hurt? Imagine being able to help out in a situation where first aid is needed. Children can make a difference in an emergency situation. It is important to let them know basic first aid steps in different situations. Topics include: recognizing an emergency and knowing what to do, calling 911, basic first aid techniques, personal safety tips, tricky people, basic gun and fire safety.
  • Super Sitter Workshop! (Gr. 5 and up)

    Be a Super Sitter! Review the basics and take your babysitting skills to the next level. In this hands-on workshop, students will learn about childcare plus, guest speakers will share specific safety and first aid information. Learn fun and simple strategies to keep children entertained and engaged in activities when babysitting. This Super Sitter Workshop is for beginners, those who have never taken a babysitting course and for more experienced sitters to brush up on skills and get new ideas. This class is especially designed to help students learn to supervise toddlers and up. Instructor is licensed teacher Tessa Lang. Please bring a healthy snack and water bottle. 
  • When I'm in Charge (Gr. 3-7)

    Attention parents! Is your son or daughter starting to stay home alone? Are you looking for a place for them to get some safety tips? This is a ideal class for students to learn responsibility, basic first aid and how to respond in certain emergency situations. Discussion items include phones, weather, intruders, internet activity, sibling relationships and much more! Licensed teacher Tessa Lang will be leading the instruction. Please bring a healthy snack and water bottle.
