TackleBar® Football is a safer approach that preserves the tradition and fundamentals of the game. There will be a parent meeting on Wednesday, August 21 at 6:30pm in the Discovery Middle School Auditorium. An equipment deposit of $200 will be required at the parent meeting or at gear check-out - check will NOT be cashed unless equipment is lost or damaged - non football related. Students new to Alexandria Public Schools will need to bring proof of completing 4th or 5th grade - example: report card. Teams will be selected after the completion of the coaches clinic. Practices will be held 2 times a week during the season with games on Saturdays at Alexandria Area High School Football Fields. The TackleBar system will be used in both grades for practice and games. More information about the TackleBar system and our program will be provided at the parent meeting. Each grade is limited to 80 participants, so sign up early!
