This camp is designed to be an introduction to blocking techniques for players entering their first two years of Tackle Bar football. This is a non-padded camp where we will learn safe blocking techniques without helmets and shoulder pads. We will utilize the blocking equipment that the varsity football teams use. Players will be working in partners and small groups according to size and physical ability to ensure everyone is safe and has success. Blocking is not designated solely for offensive lineman, but an important skill for all offensive players. All players are encouraged to come to learn safe and effective blocking techniques as well as starting to learn some of the basic plays of the Cardinal Offense including inside and outside zone. Each day will include some small competitions and some opportunities for Tackle Bar coaches to come and learn coaching techniques to utilize during practices in the fall.
