Plant Propagation 101

Adult / Enrichment -
Adult Fall 2024 - Summer 2025

Learn how to turn softwood and hardwood cutting into plants by taking a cutting involves removing a piece of tissue, stem, leaf, or root from a parent plant and inducing it to form roots or foliage so that it can be grown as a new plant. Most shrubs and trees and many perennials can be propagated by cuttings. There are no special techniques or skills required to propagate plants from cuttings and the equipment required can be very simple and inexpensive as well. After attending this class, you will leave with a good idea on how to root your own cuttings and with enough rooting hormone solution to last for the season!
