First LEGO League (Gr. 4-6)
Imaginative thinking and teamwork build tomorrow’s innovators! With adult Coaches to guide them, FIRST® LEGO® League teams apply science, engineering, and math concepts, plus a big dose of imagination, to develop solutions to real-world challenges. They also design, build, and program LEGO MINDSTORMS®-based robots to perform autonomous “missions” on a playing field. Along the way, they develop critical thinking, team-building, and presentation skills. Dates and times are not listed as this will be determined by the Coaches. First Tech Challenge (Gr. 7-8)
FIRST Tech Challenge teams are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles, while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and working as a team. Minnesota law requires that insurance companies offer a 10% reduction on auto insurance for three years if you complete a state-approved defensive driving course taught by professional, certified instructors. We will take a look at using the Photo Gallery and minor editing of pictures, such as cropping and making enhancements. This online course is conducted by Jim Ramette, Attorney at Law. Jim will help you to write your own Will in an engaging and interesting seminar format. He will present a short background on Wills, and then explain the unique legal PDF Will he developed which allows you to write, and change, a Will for your circumstances. You may change/update your Will - privately in your home - as often as you decide without additional cost. This is more than a general information course! Married or single, with or without children - it is important to have a Will to convey your wishes, have control over the distribution of your property, and to appoint your children's guardians. Discuss questions with instructor. Following class you will complete your Will in the privacy of your home. A video of the webinar will be available afterwards. Computer needed to attend the online class.
