TackleBar® Football offers a safer approach to the game while preserving its traditions and fundamentals. A parent meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 20th, at 6:30 PM in the Discovery Middle School Auditorium. A $200 equipment deposit will be required at the meeting or during gear check-out. This check will only be cashed if the equipment is lost or damaged. Students new to Alexandria Public Schools must provide proof of completing 4th or 5th grade, such as a report card. Teams will be formed after the coaches clinic, with practices scheduled twice weekly and games held on Saturdays at the Alexandria Area High School Football Fields. Both grades will utilize the TackleBar system in practices and games. Each grade is limited to 80 participants, so early registration is encouraged. Additional program details will be shared at the parent meeting.
