Alexandria Public Schools Community Education

This program is designed to expose 5 year old children to the game of baseball/softball. Must be 5 by July 8, 2024.There will be six one hour sessions to be held at the AAHS softball complex. Volunteer parent coaches will be used for this program and children will be placed onto teams for the duration of the program. The focus of this program will be on the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, catching, base running, and the concept of the game of baseball/softball. There will be controlled games. Each participant will receive a t-shirt and hat. (Games will last 1 hour and will play on a rotating schedule)

Run this summer to get in shape for fall sports! Many kids have great intentions of making this happen but have a hard time getting motivated to do it. For this reason, we invite you to come run with us this summer.      Running is more fun when done together. Summer league is an interscholastic basketball league played on Monday nights in Alexandria. Play will be divided into two tiers, a top tier and a bottom tier. Teams will be asked to provide their own reversible uniforms. Dates are Monday nights. 6/10, 6/17, 6/24, 7/8, 7/15 (double elimination playoff). We look forward to see the great competition this summer!
