In Living Color: Drawing with ColorArtsDrawing and color will be two major elements we will deal with, along with composition and design. What looks convincing? How much does technique play into your image? Beginning with a pencil/pen drawing participants will add colored pencil, watercolor, watercolor pencil, and color from non-traditional tools to their drawings. Participants will spend each class period drawing different subjects and adding color from different media. Explore media and techniques for using color techniques into drawings to make them “POP.” All abilities are welcome! Supplies are covered in the registration cost. Neurographic DrawingArtsCreating your drawing is a beautiful meditative process based in mindfulness. Explore a technique that can change your life and help manage your stress in these unprecedented times. Neurographica is a method that enables you to change your perception of yourself and your surroundings by using drawing (graphic) techniques. No prior drawing experience is needed. Session 1: Learn what Neurographica is all about. Topic is stress that you’re currently experiencing. Session 2: Personal development. Grow your personal “tree” to symbolize your past, present and future. Session 3: Something that you want to grow or develop. Let the “rain” grow your hopes and dreams in the future. Participant should bring materials: a water resistant marker like a Sharpie twin tip marker (fine/ultrafine), colored pencils or watercolor pencils or water based markers (e.g. Koi coloring brush pens or Tombow water-based markers), water brush, HB pencil. The outdoor classroom and nature trail offer learning experiences beyond classroom walls and a wonderful resource for a drawing class.
