During this hands-on workshop you will customize your own hat by burning a unique design directly on the hat and add up to 4 embellishments (options available on-site). Upon arrival at the workshop you will choose from our options of adjustable felt hats (multiple colors available) and a selection of premade designs ready for you to transfer. This is for all skill levels, but due to the heat of the tool, we ask no one under the age of 14.
It has always been a dream of mine to have a place to create, share ideas, and spend time with family and friends in a relaxing environment. Just over a year ago, I opened my own DIY Workshop called The Design Station where I enjoy teaching classes and providing a wonderfully social atmosphere. It just seemed the most natural next step to my 30-some years of creating and crafting. I have three daughters who join me in being very involved in our community and church doing events and projects. I also have a passion for bringing creative classes to the Adults with Disabilities program and offer classes on a monthly basis through Community Education.
