Adult / History At Home Or The Museum -
Adult Fall 2024 - Summer 2025

Douglas County Historical Society will host January's Hot Chocolate & History. Join us to learn more about Douglas County’s rural schools, beginning in Fort Alexandria in the 1860s. We’ll share stories from rural schools and hope to hear your story as well.

Attend in person and you will be welcomed inside with a cup of hot chocolate! No online option is available.

Douglas County Historical Society - Brittany N Johnson

Born in Alexandria and educated at Brandon-Evansville High School, Brittany Johnson is a Douglas County native excited to share local history. After graduating from Carleton College with a BA in US History, Brittany returned to Alexandria and was blessed to take over as director at the Douglas County Historical Society. You can find her there most days fawning over vintage photographs and postcards or planning the next fun event.
