First LEGO League (Gr. 4-6)
Imaginative thinking and teamwork build tomorrow’s innovators! With adult Coaches to guide them, FIRST® LEGO® League teams apply science, engineering, and math concepts, plus a big dose of imagination, to develop solutions to real-world challenges. They also design, build, and program LEGO MINDSTORMS®-based robots to perform autonomous “missions” on a playing field. Along the way, they develop critical thinking, team-building, and presentation skills. Dates and times are not listed as this will be determined by the Coaches. First Tech Challenge (Gr. 7-8)
FIRST Tech Challenge teams are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles, while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and working as a team. This class is for gymnasts that have passed the Intermediate Class or have been evaluated into this level. Gymnasts will work more advanced skills and progressions in tumbling, bars, balance beam and vault. Skills of emphasis are: progressions on all four events, roundoffs, back handsprings, front walkovers. Handspring on vault, kip on bars, jumps and turns on beam as well as furthering their strength, flexibility and technique

Whether you're a seasoned air fryer user or considering your first purchase, this class is for you! Join Chef Tess for an elevated air fryer experience and explore new family-favorite party dishes, including her mouthwatering Copycat KFC®, and her from-scratch air fryer doughnuts, pizza and burgers! Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class to allow time for shopping. Have your questions answered by the instructor and interact with other participants as you cook-along. While cooking along is loads of fun, it is optional. Participants will also receive a copy of the instructor’s personal recipes in PDF format following the class. This class will take place on Zoom.

All About Pictures - Finding, Organizing, Editing and Saving on Your Computer - Online
Retirement and Beyond
During this class you will learn how to manage pictures on your computer. Also, find out how to name, rename, and move pictures into folders to get organized. We will take a look at using the Photo Gallery and minor editing of pictures, such as cropping and making enhancements. We will use pictures for desktop backgrounds and insert a picture into Microsoft Word to manipulate for flyers, invitations, and other printed materials. (Not for Apple/Mac users.)

Explore the stages of bread making, creative intermixing of recipes, and guidelines for converting standard recipes into no-knead refrigerated recipes. We will start with some basic recipes, introduce the levain method for sourdough, and bake many variations of breads from refrigerated or frozen dough that is prepared in advance of baking. This course requires the ability to stand for periods of time.

This recreational six week program will focus on skills and drills each session with scrimmage time built in during the last four weeks of the program. California Sushi Roll Extravaganza - Online

Join Tess as she walks you through how to make a variety of the most marvelous California rolls that will make you wonder why you haven’t tried to make your own before. California “sushi” roll combinations are only limited by your imagination! Make them vegetarian, with or without seaweed, spicy or not, it is totally up to you! Learn the skill of creating delicious seasoned sushi rice, spicy mayo, and how to stuff, wrap / shape the rolls, with wonderful filling ingredients. One of these fillings is a “crab” salad that will be created using crabsticks. Tess will also provide a demonstration plate decorating ideas! Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class to allow time for shopping.
