First LEGO League (Gr. 4-6)
Imaginative thinking and teamwork build tomorrow’s innovators! With adult Coaches to guide them, FIRST® LEGO® League teams apply science, engineering, and math concepts, plus a big dose of imagination, to develop solutions to real-world challenges. They also design, build, and program LEGO MINDSTORMS®-based robots to perform autonomous “missions” on a playing field. Along the way, they develop critical thinking, team-building, and presentation skills. Dates and times are not listed as this will be determined by the Coaches. First Tech Challenge (Gr. 7-8)
FIRST Tech Challenge teams are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles, while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and working as a team. Boys Intro to Basketball (Gr. K)

This program is an introduction into the game of basketball. We will focus on the fundamentals of the game through skills, drills and fun game activities. Junior size basketballs and lower hoops will be used. The success of this program depends on parent's involvement, therefore, parent volunteer coaches are needed. California Sushi Roll Extravaganza - Online

Join Tess as she walks you through how to make a variety of the most marvelous California rolls that will make you wonder why you haven’t tried to make your own before. California “sushi” roll combinations are only limited by your imagination! Make them vegetarian, with or without seaweed, spicy or not, it is totally up to you! Learn the skill of creating delicious seasoned sushi rice, spicy mayo, and how to stuff, wrap / shape the rolls, with wonderful filling ingredients. One of these fillings is a “crab” salad that will be created using crabsticks. Tess will also provide a demonstration plate decorating ideas! Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class to allow time for shopping. Have your questions answered by the instructor and interact with other participants as you cook-along. While cooking along is loads of fun, it is optional. Participants will also receive a copy of the instructor’s personal recipes in PDF format following the class. This class will take place on Zoom.

Creating Envelopes and Labels in Microsoft Word - Online

You will see how to create and print different size computer generated labels in Microsoft Word. These labels can be printed and affixed on envelopes and packages for shipping. In addition, you will learn to create a single letter to use for mass distribution, without having to repeat a list of recipients’ names and addresses! Names can easily be saved in a database for future mailings of labels, envelopes and mass mailings. This class is being held online, interactive through Zoom.
