First LEGO League (Gr. 4-6)
Imaginative thinking and teamwork build tomorrow’s innovators! With adult Coaches to guide them, FIRST® LEGO® League teams apply science, engineering, and math concepts, plus a big dose of imagination, to develop solutions to real-world challenges. They also design, build, and program LEGO MINDSTORMS®-based robots to perform autonomous “missions” on a playing field. Along the way, they develop critical thinking, team-building, and presentation skills. Dates and times are not listed as this will be determined by the Coaches. First Tech Challenge (Gr. 7-8)
FIRST Tech Challenge teams are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles, while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and working as a team. ACT Test Prep Course (Gr. 10-12)

To help prepare for ACT testing, we are offering this intensive test preparation workshop that coaches high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to do their best on the ACT. In the five-hour ZAPS seminar, students will learn strategies for using partial knowledge to eliminate wrong choices, gain tips for improving in all four sub-tests: English, Math, Reading, Science; understand the most strategic ways to use limited testing time, take shortened practice tests that mirror the actual testing experience, reduce their test anxiety and gain confidence. Students receive a comprehensive study guide and 24 practice test workouts with detailed answer explanations. Students will also get suggestions for individualized study in the days leading up to the test. The vast majority of students who take this class say that they believe it helped them improve their test score!

NEW Champion Force Cheerleading (Gr. Pre K - 12)

We offer a fun and exciting cheer program for beginner, intermediate, and advanced level students. We will focus on fundamentals of cheers, chants, jumps, stunts and dance routines. Each class learns at least one full routine and will showcase their skills for parents and friends at competitions. Classes are available for all ages 4-17, and no experience is necessary for recreational levels. Champion force is dedicated to empowering all kids with strength, confidence and self-esteem. All classes are taught by certified coaches. There is a $10 registration fee paid upon registration Please note: There are optional, additional purchases available through Champion Force for uniforms and events. For example, you have the option to purchase a competition uniform, competitions and admissions to the competition if you choose to attend. There are also other opportunities available to the students through Champion Force your child could participate in.
